Sexual Health Xchange

Launched in early 2007, the Sexual Health Xchange (SHX) is a project of AIDS Project Los Angeles, AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts and AIDS Foundation of Chicago, three of the largest and oldest AIDS organizations in the United States.

SHX combines each organization’s resources and experience to celebrate and promote gay men’s sexual health. The collaboration provides candid and comprehensive sexual health information to gay and other MSM communities through unique print and online media efforts.

The partnership focuses on STD/HIV prevention and engages experts, activists and MSM of color to address disparities in HIV infection rates. SHX also advocates for policy and research to expand the range of HIV prevention options currently available.

Each of the three founding organizations has over 20 years of experience working in HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, and SHX puts this experience to work on a collaborative effort to erase stigma and embrace ways for gay men to lead healthy, full lives.

LifeLube.org

The inaugural project of SHX is LifeLube.org, a groundbreaking Web site that provides sexual health information and STD/HIV prevention and care resources to the gay male and MSM communities. The site also explores intimacy, communication and spirituality. Experts provide fresh, original content and links to the Web’s best sites, articles and resources on gay sexuality. LifeLube.org also promotes sexual health events taking place across the country.
