104.3 KBIG PRESENTS SUMMER PARTY™ 2006 AT PARAMOUNT STUDIOS FOR AIDS PROJECT LOS ANGELES
AIDS Fundraiser Marks 21st Year
Los Angeles, Calif., June 21, 2006 –AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) will get a boost from radio station 104.3 KBIG for this year’s edition of Summer Party™, always the happiest night of the Hollywood season. Summer Party 2006 is set for Saturday, July 22 with live performances by Sugar Ray with Mark McGrath and Deborah Gibson.
Presented by 104.3 KBIG, the party returns to Paramount Studios’ New York Streets back lot, a massive, six-block outdoor movie set. The event will feature disco dancing; food and bars; a country & western dance space; and an enlarged casino area.
An exclusive VIP area for APLA donors, sponsored by Showtime, will include complimentary drinks and buffet dinner; a private dance area and lounges; an exclusive silent auction; preferred, on-lot parking; restricted main gate entrance; and access to the entire event.
“Summer Party is a staple of summer for Angelenos who want to have fun and help others at the same time,” said Craig E. Thompson, executive director of APLA. “Since the beginning of the epidemic in Los Angeles, this annual event has helped APLA fund vital services for people with HIV/AIDS, as well as prevention programs and advocacy here and across the country.”
VIP tickets for the expanded event are priced at $200, available now at www.apla.org. General admission tickets, priced at $50, are on sale at www.groovetickets.com. The party opens at 6:00 PM for VIPs, 7:00 PM for general admission, and stays open until midnight.
