ABC/DISNEY TO AUCTION CELEBRITY-AUTOGRAPHED GUITAR TO SUPPORT
AIDS PROJECT LOS ANGELES

Top Bidder to Win Fender Guitar, Signed by 15 Celebrity Guests of Jimmy Kimmel Live Show

Los Angeles, CA, November 2, 2005 – Beginning today at 5:30 P.M., ABC/Disney will open bidding on a Fender Chrome Resonator guitar, signed by celebrities such as Lenny Kravitz, Quentin Tarantino, Carole King, and Jimmy Kimmel. The guitar, kept on the set of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live was signed by 15 of Kimmel’s celebrity guests; proceeds from the winning bid will go to support the programs and services of AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA).

The auction, which runs until November 12, 2005, will give fans the opportunity to bid on an incredible piece of Hollywood memorabilia. The guitar itself, which retails for over $800, became priceless as it gathered its roster of top celebrity autographs while held on the set of Kimmel’s show.

In addition to awarding the guitar to the highest bidder, ABC/Disney will donate the proceeds from the winning bid to APLA, to benefit people living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles County.

“This is an incredible chance for someone to own a one-of-a-kind instrument, and it’s a great opportunity for AIDS Project Los Angeles to benefit from the generosity of ABC/Disney and the Jimmy Kimmel Show,” said Dan Moriarty, APLA Director of Development.

Those wishing to bid in the auction should visit: www.JimmyKimmelLive.net. The site also features a complete list of celebrity autographs appearing on the guitar.
