California Pizza Kitchen Debuts on Sunset

Grand Opening to Benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA, June 29, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) – California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (Nasdaq:CPKI), home to the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza and other innovative hearth-baked pizzas, made-to-order pastas, creative salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches and desserts, opened its newest location in the heart of the famed Sunset Strip today on the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Crescent Heights.
The new restaurant introduces the new CPK prototype to the Los Angeles community showing warm colors, rich textures, soft lighting, elements of stone and granite, and an extended bar area complete with large flat screen televisions. The menu features all of the CPK favorites like the Jamaican Jerk Pizza, BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad and Kung Pao Spaghetti, along with new menu items recently introduced including the Hawaiian Poke Martini, Thai Crunch Salad and the spicy Chipotle Chicken Pizza. A full bar offers an extensive beverage menu with more than 40 specialty drinks, including CPK’s original California Cosmo, and an extensive list of martinis, margaritas and cocktails.
The hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m to 11:00 p.m. Guests can dine-in, take-out or use CPK’s Curbside Service and have the restaurant’s curbside server deliver their order right to their car.
Following a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities in which it operates, California Pizza Kitchen will donate 100% of pizza sales from Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15 to AIDS Project Los Angeles. APLA is recognized nationally as the premiere model for prevention programs and patient services, serving thousands of clients throughout the entire Los Angeles County metro region. The APLA Pizza Week was designed to celebrate the new location on Sunset Boulevard and is just one of the many ways that California Pizza Kitchen is focused on giving back to the communities and customers that it serves.
