UNIQUE CHRISTOPHER RADKO “CALIFORNIA” ORNAMENT BENEFITS AIDS PROGRAMS AT THE HOLIDAYS
Star Designer Creates Limited Edition to Support AIDS Project Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA, November 18, 2004 – Christopher Radko, world-famous designer of luxury holiday ornaments, gifts and home décor, has created a sparkling new ornament to represent the State of California this holiday season with a limited edition to benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA). The “California” design is a witty rendering of the state’s map with iconic markings of famous locations. Available exclusively on the APLA website, the non-denominational ornament may be sent as a gift with an indication that a contribution has been made to honor the recipient. See www.apla.org for details and orders.
“This beautiful and original ornament is a collector’s item, a glamorous holiday gift that will be displayed for years to come,” said Tonya Hendricks, director of four APLA food banks in Los Angeles County that will benefit from each sale. “Christopher Radko’s captures the fun and excitement of California with a gentle reminder that the giver has supported the programs and services at APLA.”
Since 1986, Christopher Radko has created more than 10,000 designs, employing more than 3,000 artists commissioned in Poland, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic. Christopher Radko creations are sold in more than 2,500 stores, such as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Harrods, London. Radko ornaments have graced the White House and the Vice Presidential Residence, and have been featured on “The Today Show” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Collectors include Ms. Winfrey, Elton John, John Travolta, Whoopi Goldberg and connoisseurs throughout the world.
“It is rewarding that my ornaments can help people and extend the genuine meaning of the holidays in this way,” said Mr. Radko.
