As one of the nation's largest and oldest AIDS service providers, APLA will use proceeds from the event to support its programs and fund AIDS service organizations throughout California.
"California AIDSRide 2002 will now benefit more communities than ever before," said APLA executive director, Craig E.Thompson. "AIDS Project Los Angeles is committed to using this incredible opportunity to help support organizations across the state serving communities heavily impacted by HIV."

"We have reached mutual agreement on all aspects of California AIDSRide 9 - the program, the operating budget and overall marketing of the event - with a clear goal of making this California AIDSRide the best ever," said Thompson.
"This event will have a tremendous positive impact on the lives of people living with AIDS and HIV," added Norm Bowling, vice president of business and public affairs for Pallotta TeamWorks.
