ELTON JOHN HOSTS "THE CONCERT… 20 YEARS OF AIDS"
TO BENEFIT THE ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION
AND AIDS PROJECT LOS ANGELES

Concert Event To Also Feature Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Craig David, LeAnn Rimes, matchbox twenty, Peter Yorn, Rufus Wainwright and Sting


Los Angeles -- Sir Elton John will host "The Concert… 20 Years of AIDS" to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation and AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) on Wednesday, December 12th. The concert event will feature multi-song performances by some of today's leading music artists including Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Craig David, LeAnn Rimes, matchbox twenty, Peter Yorn, Rufus Wainwright, Sting, and of course, Elton John. The star-studded concert will be held at the Universal Amphitheater at 8:00 pm.

"The Concert… 20 Years of AIDS" marks the discovery of the virus that causes AIDS 20 years ago. In order to continue to raise awareness about the fight against AIDS and the struggle to find a cure, Elton John has put together an all-star event to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation and APLA.

AIDS Project Los Angeles, a non-profit community-based organization, provides direct services to more than 10,000 men, women, and children living with HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles County. Services include a food bank, professional dental care, housing assistance, child care, transportation, mental health counseling, case management, home health care and Adult and Child Buddy support. APLA also provides extensive treatment and prevention education and advocacy on local, state and federal AIDS-related legislation.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation was established in 1992 by Elton John, who serves as its Chairman. With offices in Los Angeles and London, The Foundation is an international non-profit organization that provides funding for prevention education programs and direct patient care services supporting men, women, young adults, children, infants, minorities and entire families living with HIV/AIDS. Since it's inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $22 million in grants worldwide.
