CELEBRITIES JOIN AIDS PROJECT LOS ANGELES
AND SOOLIP PAPERIE & PRESS FOR HOLIDAY CARD CAMPAIGN

Los Angeles -- Peri Gilpin, Sean Hayes, Imitation of Christ, Betsey Johnson, Lucy Liu, Valerie Rae Miller, Meryl Streep and Hilary Swank designed the artwork for AIDS Project Los Angeles' (APLA) 2001 holiday card campaign. Created through a partnership with Soolip Paperie & Press, the holiday card program will raise funds for services provided to men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS.

Creativity kits created by APLA and Soolip Paperie & Press inspired the celebrities who let their imaginations run wild. The outcome, sensational holiday cards are now available by calling 866.679.0958, via direct mail, at Soolip in West Hollywood, 8646 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, and by visiting apla.org. Cards are $5 each, 8 for $22 and can also be purchased at a bulk rate.

APLA and Soolip Paperie & Press worked together to design the creativity kits and solicit celebrities for the holiday card campaign. The cheery kits contained Pop Champagne, Swarovski Crystal Tattoos, Godiva Chocolates and design elements like colored pencils, paper, felt pieces and other festive items.

Proceeds from the holiday card campaign will help support services that AIDS Project Los Angeles provides each year to more than 10,000 men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS including a food bank, child care, housing assistance, and professional dental care. The agency also provides prevention and treatment education, and advocates on local, state and federal levels on AIDS-related legislation.

Soolip Paperie & Press, owned and created by Wanda Wen and Grant Forsberg, is a boutique specializing in unique paper products located in West Hollywood. Their extensive paper collection includes handmade greeting cards, stationery, invitations and decorative paper imported mainly from Europe and Asia.
