AIDS PROJECT LOS ANGELES DENTAL
CLINIC RELOCATES TO
SAMARITAN MEDICAL TOWER DOWNTOWN
Los Angeles -- The AIDS Project Los Angeles Dental Clinic will open its doors on Tuesday, February 20, at the Samaritan Medical Tower at 1127 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 1504. The new site is easily accessible by public transportation and is centrally located. Through the generosity and support of many companies and individuals, the new APLA Dental Clinic features the latest dental technology. The APLA dental staff provides a full range of dental services to people with HIV in a safe, professional, supportive environment.
The relocation of the APLA Dental Clinic is part of a larger expansion of APLA services into the community. AIDS Project Los Angeles is de-centralizing service delivery and will be moving into satellite service sites throughout Los Angeles County. This shift will allow APLA to provide services where people with AIDS need them most.
"This is an excellent new location for the dental clinic," stated Dr. Mark Davis, director of the clinic. "It is easily accessible by public transportation and it is centrally located for most of the 3,000 people who use our dental services."
The Office of AIDS Policy and Programs, the City of West Hollywood, Queen's Care Los Angeles, Patterson Dental, Discus Dental, David Letta's, Ensure, Colgate Toothpaste, Prevention Mouthwash, and the Samaritan Medical Tower are just a few APLA Dental Clinic supporters. The APLA Dental Clinic will also be a beneficiary of the annual S.T.A.G.E. event on March 2, 3, and 4 honoring the work of Jerome Kern.
AIDS Project Los Angeles, a non-profit community-based organization, provides direct services to more than 8,000 men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles County. Services include a food bank, housing assistance, transportation, mental health counseling, case management, home health care and Adult and Child Buddy Support. APLA also provides extensive treatment and prevention education and advocacy on local, state and federal AIDS-related legislation.
