For Immediate Release
APLA Health & Wellness is proud to introduce the newest member of our team, Frankie Darling-Palacios, who will serve as our Healthcare Outreach Specialist.
Over the next year, while healthcare reform is being implemented here in Los Angeles and across the country, Frankie will help individuals and their families navigate through the complex web of new healthcare laws, connect people to an enroller and reach out to as many people as possible online, in person and over the phone. During that time Frankie will conduct workshops for APLA and APLA Health & Wellness clients and their friends and family about the new insurance plan options, answer questions unique to individual needs, and continue to find creative ways to get the message out about affordable healthcare so that as many people as possible know the options they have available to them in the new year and can enroll into coverage.
Open enrollment for various coverage options that begin in 2014 opens on October 1, 2013; and the federal government will provide tax credits and subsidies to make healthcare affordable for people who are currently uninsured or wishing to change their health care plans in the new year.
APLA will soon be hosting a website to make more information available to the many thousands of Angelenos that we serve. In addition, California has created its own user-friendly website, www.CoveredCA.com, in order to help prospective enrollees understand their options and their projected costs for health care coverage.
If you have any questions for Frankie, you can reach her via phone at (323) 329-9926 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
