ACTION ALERT: Healthcare coverage begins now!

On behalf of everyone at AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) and APLA Health & Wellness, we wish you a healthy and happy New Year! This year the Affordable Care Act is being formally rolled out, and if you have any questions about this program, please call APLA Health & Wellness Healthcare Specialist Frankie Darling-Palacios at (323) 329-9926, or visit our healthcare reform webpage on our website.

2014 is an exciting year as the Affordable Care Act is formally rolled out, including coverage that is now available to more people than ever before and the provision that no one be denied coverage for having a pre-existing condition (including HIV). We all know someone without healthcare, so the importance of everyone enrolling into a plan or talking to a loved one about Covered California is vital now more than ever.

At APLA and APLA Health & Wellness, we are here to help you navigate the enrollment process. We have Covered CA certified enrollment counselors as well as staff that are knowledgeable about the enrollment process and the health care exchanges.

Please visit our healthcare reform webpage on our website for more information. Remember, open enrollment ends March 31st!
