"For twenty-five years, Hank Behar has been an integral part of the APLA family. Shortly before retiring, after thirty-two years as a public school teacher, Hank decided he wanted to do something to help in the fight against a new disease. In short time, Hank found himself volunteering at special events, bagging groceries in our food bank, and assisting clients as a part-time receptionist.
Working four to five days a week, Hank is often the first person visitors to the agency encounter. Over the years, Hank’s service to the agency has proven invaluable". —Jim Williams, volunteer resources program manager, APLA, California
