Bringing Care to Our Communities Campaign

At APLA, 2014 is a year of tremendous growth as we expand our health and support services for gay and bisexual men while continuing our longstanding commitment to serve those living with HIV/AIDS. In January, the Affordable Care Act brought health insurance to millions who were previously uninsured, and to meet this new demand, the government made a significant investment in expanding the number of health centers to serve them.

APLA Health & Wellness was awarded a highly competitive multi-year grant to operate a comprehensive medical and dental clinic in South Los Angeles, but the construction costs are our responsibility. With your help, we will be able to provide approximately 5,000 clients a year with primary medical care and greatly improve their overall health and wellness.

On October 1, 2014, we were proud to announce the grand opening of the Gleicher / Chen Health Center. This 7,000 square foot medical facility features exam rooms, a laboratory and dispensary, and nursing offices along with an integrated dental clinic and space for our comprehensive HIV prevention programs. We are excited to offer naming opportunities to those who will join us with a generous donation to meet this challenge.

APLA Health & Wellness has launched a campaign to raise $1,700,000 as we are Bringing Care to Our Communities. Below are a few examples of the many opportunities at each level of giving. Levels range from $100 to $250,000+ and can include naming of specific rooms or supplying equipment or furnishings. Please visit our donation page or contact Tarik A.
