Leadership Council Spotlight

Michael Strand

Michael Strand, who lives in Los Angeles, runs Microsoft's U.S. Business Solutions sales organization. Michael has been with Microsoft for over 14 years and is proud to be associated with an organization that makes "supporting the rights of all" a priority.

Like many people, Michael was introduced to APLA through the AIDS Walk and other APLA community events. However, he felt that to make a bigger impact, he could do more than just be a guest at events.

Michael is responsible for introducing Microsoft to APLA and brokering a software deal that will keep us on the cutting edge of communication technology. Through his generous personal annual giving, Michael also is a member of our Leadership Council (currently at the Sponsor Level) and takes advantage of the Microsoft matching gift program to double each contribution he makes to the agency. And Michael has not given up attending events like Summer Party and the AIDS Walk.

He has leveraged his passion for this cause personally and professionally to help APLA support people living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles County. We are grateful to Michael Strand for his dedication to our mission.
