Leadership Council


The Leadership Council was established in 2002 and currently consists of 150 donors. Leadership Council Members receive exclusive benefits and enduring recognition.

Membership Levels

BENEFACTORS (who make gifts of $25,000 and above)

PATRONS (who make gifts of $10,000 to $24,999)

SPONSORS (who make gifts of $5,000 to $9,999)

  • Receive all the benefits below
  • Two invitations to the VIP breakfast preceding AIDS Walk Los Angeles
  • Two invitations to APLA's annual The Envelope Please: An Oscar® Viewing Party
  • Opportunity to have dinner with a senior APLA staff member
  • Quarterly conference call briefings by APLA's executive director
  • Personal handling of requests

FRIENDS (who make gifts of $2,500 to $4,999)

  • Receive all the benefits below
  • Receive two advance invitations to all APLA functions and events
  • Personal tour of APLA's offices, by appointment

MEMBERS (who make gifts of $1,000 to $2,499)

  • Recognized in APLA's Annual Report
  • Recognized on the Wall of Honor in the Main reception area of the David Geffen Center
  • Invited as guests to two major donor events each year
  • Receive a subscription to our quarterly newsletter, Optimist
