CDC: Compendium of HIV Prevention Interventions with Evidence of Effectiveness
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) developed this Compendium of HIV Prevention Interventions with Evidence of Effectiveness to respond to prevention service providers, planners, and others who request science-based interventions that work to prevent HIV transmission. All interventions selected for this compendium came from behavioral or social studies that had both intervention and control/comparison groups and positive results for behavioral or health outcomes.

Diffusion of Effective Behavioral Interventions (DEBI)
The Diffusion of Effective Behavioral Interventions (DEBI) project was
designed to bring science-based, community-and group-level HIV prevention
interventions to community-based service providers and state and local
health departments. The goal is to enhance the capacity to implement
effective interventions at the state and local levels, to reduce the
spread of HIV and STDs, and to promote healthy behaviors. The DEBI
Project offers training and helps to coordinate technical assistance
on twelve science-based, effective interventions for HIV prevention.

CDC: Initiative: Advancing HIV Prevention
CDC’s initiative, Advancing HIV Prevention: New Strategies for a Changing Epidemic, is aimed at reducing barriers to early diagnosis of HIV infection and increasing access to quality medical care, treatment, and ongoing prevention services for those diagnosed with HIV. This web site includes descriptions of the initiative and how it is to be implemented, as well as other guidance and information critical to its success.

CDC: Prevention Interventions for People Living with HIV
Activities in this section are intended to help agencies target HIV risk reductions for person living with HIV or persons with negative or unknown status at very high risk for infection. Website includes complete program descriptions for prevention case management, Healthy Relationships and Teens Living with Care (TLC), along with interventions in clinical settings and the Holistic Harm Reduction Program (HHRP).

CHIPTS: List of Effective Interventions
The Center for HIV Identification, Prevention, and Treatment Services (CHIPTS) is a collaboration of researchers from UCLA, Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science, Friends Research Institute, and RAND working to enhance our collective understanding of HIV research and to promote early detection, effective prevention, and treatment programs for HIV. This site summarizes several recommended effective HIV interventions and includes links to resource materials.

NMAC: Organizational Effectiveness On-line Publications
These technical assistance publications provide specific information on topics like program development, program evaluation and grant writing, to list a few. Produced by the National Minority AIDS Council, these manuals provide community-based organizations with powerful tools to enhance their organizational effectiveness.
