Any agency implementing an effective behavioral HIV prevention intervention (EBI) is entitled to Capacity Building Assistant (CBA) services free of charge.
An agency is allowed to place one CBA request at a time for each EBI, Comprehensive Risk Counseling and Services program (CRCS, previously Prevention Case Management), and Counseling Testing and Referral program (CTR). Further, an agency is allowed to submit multiple CBA requests if more than one HIV prevention Program is concurrently being implemented.
CBA services are requested by Focus Areas (FA) 1, 2, 3, and 4 as described in the PDF links below. Don't worry if you don’t categorize your request properly because your CDC project officer and/or Acción Mutua/ Shared Action will direct you to the most appropriate provider.
Our CBA program, Acción Mutua/Shared Action, currently falls under FA 2, Western Region, which helps raise the capacity of agencies in the area of program implementation and evaluation. To learn more about our services click here.
